Build with Clear Credit Data

Securely connect your platform to retrieve credit score data, alerts, and bureau reports via our REST API.

1. Get Your API Key

Sign in to your Clear Credit dashboard and open the Connect API page to generate your personal API key. Keep it secure and never expose it in client-side code.

2. Authenticate Requests

Include your API key in the Authorization header as a Bearer token for every request.

3. Call the Endpoints

Use the export endpoints to pull your credit scores and alerts into any app, spreadsheet, or automation tool.

4. Handle Data Securely

All API responses are encrypted in transit via TLS 1.3. Cache scores responsibly and comply with FCRA guidelines.

Authentication

All API requests require a valid API key passed as a Bearer token in the Authorization header. You can generate and manage your API keys from the API page in your Clear Credit dashboard.

Endpoints

GET/functions/exportScores

Retrieve all personal credit scores for the authenticated user across every bureau. Optionally filter by bureau with ?bureau=Equifax.

List recent credit alerts including score changes, new inquiries, and fraud notifications.

Security & Compliance

All API traffic is encrypted with TLS 1.3. Rate limits apply (100 requests/minute per key). Use of the Clear Credit API is subject to FCRA compliance requirements. Do not cache scores for longer than 24 hours, and always display the bureau attribution with any score data.
